Era's Portrait


This is Era's portrait. Wrong metering and the image suffers from blown highlights. I should have guessed, she was wearing a black shirt. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to carry along my lightmeter. My last attempt is to use exposure compensation, and in camera-blinking highlights, but the other pictures did not turn out to be rather worth "considering". I prefer this one instead. Of course, this is not the fault of the model, just a silly me. :) In photoshop, some parts of the skin were coppied and overlayed on top of the blown highlights to create artificial texture. Well, it was a real pain in the ..... .

What's with the continuos flow of B&W photo uploaded in the blog?
I guess both of us are addicted to B&W photos. HAHAHA....

I have always have some liking for B&W. As a matter of fact, B&W is my forte. :) (A confirmed sign of narcissistic personality disorder.) The images compared to colour seems to exude a certain timeless element, nostalgic and beguiling effects. The abrogation of colours, ironicaly, eliminate their distrating effect, persuading the viewver to concentrate on the tones and subject instead.
