Are you brainwashed ?
The problem is that once you are in it, it is so hard to get out.
Have you ever heard of "heard mentality" or "collective incompetence"?
Have you ever been in a situation where you did something in a group which you would not normally consider doing it if you are alone?
The environment imbued by the cult tends to reenforce the very dotrine and mentality.
I have just learned that in fact there is a scientific term for this phenomenon, this is called disconfirmation parodox. In laymen's exposition, when the victim is supplied with an overwhelming information pertaining to the truth, he/she will recoil and vehemently denied its very existence, preferring to live in the imaginary comfort zone.
Truth hurts!!!!
So what is a Cult?
Every cult can be defined as a group having all of the following five characteristics:
1. It uses psychological coercion to recruit, indoctrinate and retain its members
2. It forms an elitist totalitarian society.
3. Its founder leader is self-appointed, dogmatic, messianic, not accountable and has charisma.
4. It believes 'the end justifies the means' in order to solicit funds recruit people.
5. Its wealth does not benefit its members or society.
